Know the Rules
All leagues follow RHA Inline guidelines plus Lone Star house rules

Lone Star's house leagues follow the guidelines set forth by RHA Inline. In addition to the rules established by the USARS/RHA Rule Book, Lone Star reserves the right to establish house rules that supplement existing rules. Lone Star Hockey also reserves the right to establish any policies required to maintain a safe and positive environment for all players, coaches, officials, and spectators.

All players, coaches, and spectators are expected to know and abide by these rules. Violations will be handled by on-ice officials and Lone Star staff. Questions about any rule can be directed to staff at the facility.

01

Scheduling

With the exception of the first two games of the day, games may start as early as 15 minutes ahead of schedule. All players should be ready to take the rink prior to their scheduled game time.
Teams must have a minimum number of players present to start a game. A team unable to field a legal lineup at game time may be subject to a forfeit at the discretion of the on-ice official and Lone Star staff.
Schedule changes and cancellations will be communicated through official league channels. It is the responsibility of all players and coaches to stay informed of schedule updates.
02

Player & Spectator Conduct

In all Youth Hockey games (league or tournament), any profanity will result in an automatic minor penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct. This applies to players on the rink and on the bench.
Parents and spectators must remain in designated spectator areas at all times. Any parent or spectator who enters player benches or the scorekeeper area will be subject to immediate removal from the facility.
All players, coaches, and spectators are expected to treat officials, opponents, and Lone Star staff with respect. Verbal abuse directed at officials or staff will result in immediate ejection and may result in suspension.
Fighting will not be tolerated under any circumstances and will result in immediate ejection and mandatory suspension. Lone Star reserves the right to extend suspensions or ban individuals from the facility permanently for fighting.

Security cameras are in place and provide coverage of part of the hockey rink. All incidents on and off the rink may be reviewed by Lone Star staff when determining disciplinary action.

03

Equipment Requirements

All players under the age of 18 must wear full facial protection. Players may use a cage or visor, so long as the protection extends from the helmet past the chin. Violations may be assessed at any point during the game. Player will receive a 2-minute minor and must leave the rink to obtain adequate protection before returning to play.
All protective gear — with the exception of gloves, head gear, and goalkeeper leg pads — must be entirely under the player's uniform. Non-conformity will result in a 2-minute minor for delay of game.
Hollow ends of sticks must be covered by a wooden or rubber butt end or piece of tape. Violations may be assessed at any point during the game. Penalty: 2-minute minor for delay of game.
All players must wear approved inline hockey skates. Speed skates or any skate designed to cause injury are prohibited. Quad skates are not prohibited but are not recommended.
Players must wear matching jerseys with non-duplicating numbers. Each player must have an individual identifying number at least 8 inches in height on the back of the sweater. No two members of the same team may wear the same number.
04

Suspensions & Discipline

Suspensions must be served in the division the infraction was committed before any further league play is allowed. A player may not "skip" a suspension by playing in a different division.
Players serving suspensions are not permitted to be on the players bench, scorekeeper area, or rink surface during the games of their suspension. Violation of this rule will result in additional games added to the suspension.
Lone Star reserves the right to extend any suspension or permanently ban any individual from the facility based on the severity of the infraction or repeated violations.
05

Facility Rules

Any individual found to be in possession of lost or stolen goods of any kind will be ejected from the facility permanently. Any individual who comes into possession of lost or stolen goods shall deliver them to a Lone Star representative immediately. If an item is not claimed within 30 days, the finder may assume possession.
Vandalism of any kind will not be tolerated. Players over the age of 18 will be subject to permanent expulsion from all league and recreational activities and prosecution to the full extent of the law. Players under 18 will be placed on 30-day probation and may not enter the facility without a parent or legal guardian. Violation during probation results in permanent expulsion.
No food or beverages are permitted on the rink surface at any time. Use the seating areas and snack bar for all food and drink.
All players and coaches must adhere to Lone Star facility policies in addition to on-ice rules. Lone Star staff have the authority to address any conduct issue on or off the rink.
